Assessing the context within academic health institutions toward improving equity-based, community and patient-engaged research

Description: This publication examines how academic health institutions support—or hinder—equity-focused, patient- and community-engaged research. Using surveys, interviews, and focus groups across three institutions, the study identifies key barriers such as power imbalances, lack of resources, and misalignment between institutional priorities and community engagement.
