Diabetes among Hispanics in Oklahoma: Assessing Disparities to Guide Basic and Applied Research

Description: This study examines diabetes prevalence and diabetes-related mortality among Hispanic adults in Oklahoma. Using state survey and mortality data from 2011–2016, it analyzes sociodemographic factors, health care access, and population characteristics to identify disparities between Hispanic and non-Hispanic residents and to guide research and interventions aimed at reducing these health inequities.
